Hello! So glad you’re here. I’m Hayley & this is where I share about the things I love. 🙂
I’m work from home part-time as a software developer. While I love the techy world – and photography – I’m a homemaker at heart. I enjoy cooking, baking, gardening, sewing, knitting, and really all things DIY.
The best part about this journey is who I get to share it with every day – my wonderful husband, Ryan. I’m so blessed to be able to say that we’ve been enjoying life together for over ten years now! Our story began when I was 15 and he was 17. We were babies, but we were in love. Everyone else thought that we were crazy & it’d never last. We dated long distance for years on end while we went away to colleges in opposite directions (which is not for the faint of heart!), but we made it through! Ryan asked me to marry him on Christmas Eve, 2011. We both graduated from college – him from SIUE and me from Notre Dame and we tied the knot in August of 2012.
I’ve worked two years in the software development industry at a wonderful company called Epic in Madison, WI, and we’ve moved twice – to St. Louis (temporarily) as Ryan completed his financial advisor training at the Edward Jones home office, and then back near home – Monmouth, IL – for the long term. For over three years now, I been developing software remotely for a great company called Barnstorm Research, which is based out of the Boston area.
We adopted a sweet, two-year-old Vizsla named Lucy in 2014, and she’s quickly become a part of the family. We love taking her on adventures and I love having a companion at home while Ryan is at the office.
When we moved from St. Louis to Monmouth, we bought our first home – a turn of the century oldie in Monmouth, IL – and we’ve been working on projects ever since. 🙂
In March of 2016, we welcomed our first babe, James Ryan. He’s been lighting up our life ever since!
Our big dream is to own a chunk of land out in the country somewhere – complete with a cozy farmhouse and plenty of room to enjoy the outdoors. We love to daydream about big gardens and campfires, fresh eggs and tree houses, but for now we are enjoying our life in town.
I hope you’ll come along for the ride as I continue to share little pieces of our everyday.
